Out of all the things you could do with a juice box, why not make a pencil holder with it? Sure it doesn’t have a lid or any fancy gizmos or electronic devices, but it would work great for holding any small object at all (as long as it’s not too heavy).
You will need:
- one juice box; one per holder (cleaned and dried; it smells if any trace of juice is left over)
- paper (preferably written on one side and blank on the other)
- any decorations (eg. old candy wrappers, stickers, glitter glue, etc.)
- scissors
- ruler
- glue/tape
How to Make:
1. Open the top flaps of the juice box and cut open the top (there should only be 5 sides of the juice box now; you should be able to put things in through the top)
2. Measure the paper with a ruler to see how long it has to be. Cut it with scissors and glue or tape it onto the juice box.
3. Now you can decorate! Colour or paste decorations onto your juice box. When you’re satisfied, you can try another one!
Fact: Millions and millions of juice boxes and plastic water bottles end up decaying in the landfill. If we reduce the number of juice boxes we drink or don’t drink them at all, our landfills will grow smaller in size.
Idea: Make juice box holders that say protesting quotes such as, “End war, don’t start it!” “Go green and go clean!” “Charities are care-ities!” etc. to protest about some of the horrible incidents that are happening.
